Collaborative Class with Sarah Winward 2017

Floral Workshop

We are delighted to finally share with you some beautiful images by Allen Tsai of our workshop last June.  These images where under wraps until Once Wed recently featured them.

Botelet Farm, Cornwall

Teaching collaboratively with Sarah Winward was so much fun.  Her designs are so feminine and she has such a keen eye for seasonal flowers that it was great to have her come and join us in teaching A Summer Study.

The course took place in Cornwall on a beautiful farm called Botelet - you feel so far from the hectic day-to-day duties of life we just knew it was the perfect location for our students to switch off and get back to nature.

With hedges on the farm filled with wild foxgloves we foraged for flowers and foliage that formed part of an installation demonstration.

Leach Pottery

For each student a bespoke Leach Pottery bowl was made with a snow glaze to reflect the rustic nature of Botelet.  We carefully guided our students through the colour and design elements of centrepiece styling.

Home Grown British Flowers

Using our own home grown flowers we taught our students the art of bouquet design.  Working with full blown English roses and beautiful ribbons by Adorn we each demonstrated our signature styles.

Large Scale Floristy

Finally we taught how to create larger arrangements and explored the world of pricing.

Thank you to all the lovely students and suppliers that joined us for A Summer Study and a big thank you to Sarah Winward for coming to work with us. xx

If you would like to join us for this year's retreat we will be returning to Botelet for Colour Theory A Cornish Edit from Monday 11 June - Wednesday 13 June.  Our collaboration this year will be with Ashley Beyer of Tinge Floral.
