Nancarrow Wedding for Laura & Roger - July

Laura and Roger got married on a beautiful summers day in July at the wonderful Nancarrow Farm. I loved creating this high summer wedding for them and the show stopper for me was the growing installation in the ceremony barn. Koko Look roses featured heavily and bloomed their socks off making it an arrangement to remember!

Thank you so much Laura & Roger - it was wonderful working with you both and many thanks for sharing your beautiful wedding day.

The day was beautifully captured by Ross Talling.

Bridal Party Flowers

Laura loved all the soft pastel tones from some of my previous weddings. I combined peaches, dusky pines, creams and flowering foliage to create a bouquet that had movement and colour variation. Dahlias, roses and zinnia’s sat side-by-side whilst hebe foliage brought some loose structure.

Buttonholes and bridesmaids echoed a similar vibe with the addition of grasses.

Ceremony Flowers

Laura was keen to have a soft colour palette that oozes milky tones and pops of colour to break up the arrangements. The installation by the door was so much fun to create. I used light foliage so it bounced off the dark wood and at the base we had a beautiful stone vase that could, later in the day, be moved to the reception barn.

To mark the aisle I placed living planters in bridal party tones. Again, these elements were all so easy to re-purpose after the ceremony.

For the registry table we kept it super simple with a large glass vase - I just love to let the florals speak for themselves and filled with so much textual foliage and soft scented roses it made for a perfect styling point.

Reception Flowers

With narrow tables at Nancarrow I always encourage my clients to make use of my versatile pottery I have available. These ceramics are made for my weddings by a local potter, John Webb. The glaze is so subtle and blends well with wedding palettes. I used a mix of bud vase styles and low beakers for slightly fuller designs.

When placed down the tables they echoed a meadow vibe from the surrounding countryside. It’s a simple but super effective way to style these tables.
