Boconnoc Wedding - Maddie & Mayur in June

High summer and the garden is alive with pollinators and the floral choice seems mildly overwhelming. Maddie and Mayur wanted their arrangements to reflect the fullness of gardens in summer.

In a gentle palette of soft pastels our aim was to bring the outside into their celebration spaces.

Huge thanks to Maddie & Mayur for trusting my vision and of course Debs Alexander & Helen Lisk for creating beautiful lasting memories through these images.

Ceremony Flowers on the Lawn

Maddie and Mayur chose to use the front lawn as the place to hold their ceremony and what an entrance Mayur made to his wedding. Just wow!

I created a beautiful broken double sided arch under a stretch tent to frame their ceremony space. Filled with flowering dogwood, ammi, delphiniums and stocks this was an arrangement with impact.

Living aisle planters were placed either side of the aisle at the back to frame the start of the entrance. Later these were re-purposed into the Garden Room at the reception. We love to encourage our couples to consider arrangements that can be re-purposed so please do ask us how you can do this in your own wedding.

The Bridal Party & House Flowers

I kept Maddie’s bouquet light and airy. Lots of creams and very soft champagne tones. Maddie’s bouquet was filled with roses, lupins, sweet rocket, dogwood, scabious and astilbe. Her bouquet was finished with gold taupe ribbon from Lancaster & Cornish.

Mayur’s buttonholes were little white cornflowers with nigella seed heads and little bunny’s tails. They were finished with simple jute twine and a pearl pin.

On the entrance table to Boconnoc I placed a large footed urn. This is space is a beautifully impressive so having a large statement arrangement here is always very popular.

Reception Flowers in The Garden Room

Maddie opted for an elegant mix of my ceramics from low bowls to beakers and interspersed with bud vases set on long tables with a beautiful linen. The finished design was stunning and timeless. Maddie’s mum, a ceramicist, handmade candlesticks as wedding favours. These were all different in styles and were placed down the tables weaving through the florals arrangements. It was a wonderful personal touch to the overall design.
