We are really looking forward to joining Rachael and Ash at Green and Gorgeous this April.

Rachael had been a leading the field (!) in flower farming in the UK for a long time now.  Her gardens never fail to impress us in April with stunning ranunculus of the like I have never seen anywhere else.

Rachael and Ash do their research.  Years of experience and trailing new varieties from bulb producers in Europe and beyond means that Green Gorgeous always have flower varieties the rest of us have never seen.  Lucky for us they are also quite generous with their knowledge and have been known to share a few secrets with the rest of us.

Flower Farming

If you are thinking of flower farming or just want to grow your own cut flowers Rachael will take us through her farming year with a clear and steady guide to growing seasonal British flowers like a pro.  We always pick up new ideas here, and love meeting like minded people.   These two days offer the opportunity to sharing experiences and ideas with a group of fellow flower fans, whilst testing out your floristry skills using anemones, tulips, blossoms and early spring flowers all picked on the day.  Rachael will guide us through her gardens whilst we select and cut our flowers for day two.

Floristry Styling

On the second day of this workshop we will discuss new trends in floristry and how to grow to achieve the aesthetic you want, what ever that might be.  In the morning we will talk shop with Rachael who has just published a beautiful new book with stunning images of her work.  We will talk about marketing, branding and style and attracting the customers you want.

Rachael is so good at maintaining a colour palette through the seasons and we continue this theme through day as we create our own hand tied bouquets.  We will talk colour, texture, size and style as we guide you through the process of making centre pieces and bridal flowers.

Eva Nemeth takes many of Rachael's professional photographs and will be there to create portfolio images of your work.  We will chat through photo shoots, working with others and collaborating to keep your business creative and forward thinking, whilst Eva can give us some insider tips on getting the best shots of your flowers.
